Motorola entered the book-style foldable market for the first time with the Razr Fold, and it arrived with a spec sheet that immediately puts pressure on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. At $1,899 in the US, Motorola is pitching the thinnest book-style foldable available, the largest battery in any foldable, and a DXOMARK Gold-rated triple camera system. Here is a complete breakdown of every confirmed specification.

Design and Build
Razr Fold is Motorola's first book-style foldable and it sets an immediate benchmark in one specific area: thinness. At 4.6mm when unfolded, it is currently the slimmest book-style foldable available. The 9.9mm folded thickness is also competitive. A precision-engineered steel hinge and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 on the cover display give the device a premium, durable feel. At 244 grams, it is heavier than a standard flagship but comparable to competing book-style foldables.
Display
Inner 8.1-inch LTPO pOLED display at 2,484 x 2,232 resolution runs at 120Hz with 6,200 nits peak brightness and full Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. At 8.1 inches, it is larger than both the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold inner displays. The cover display is a 6.6-inch pOLED running at 165Hz a higher refresh rate than most competitors offer on their outer panel, with 6,000 nits peak brightness. Both displays are Pantone Validated for color accuracy.
Performance
Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 on 3nm powers the Razr Fold with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The Oryon V3 Phoenix cores two at 3.8GHz and six at 3.32GHz deliver flagship-tier performance for all tasks. The Adreno 840 GPU handles gaming and graphics-intensive workloads without issue.
Camera System
Triple rear camera system is the Razr Fold's clearest competitive advantage in the foldable segment. The main camera is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 828 sensor, the same sensor found in several top-tier 2026 flagships, at f/1.6 with a 1/1.28-inch sensor size, 2.44μm pixels, and OIS. The ultrawide is a 50MP sensor with a 122-degree field of view and Macro Vision capability. The telephoto is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 periscope lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS. All three cameras are capable of 8K video recording with Dolby Vision. DXOMARK awarded the Razr Fold a score of 164 and the Gold Label, the highest camera score ever given to a book-style foldable phone at the time of testing.
Battery Life and Charging
6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery is the largest ever fitted into a book-style foldable. Motorola claims over 43 hours of battery life under mixed use and states that 12 minutes of 80W TurboPower charging delivers approximately 12 hours of usage. Wireless charging is supported at 50W. There is no Qi2 magnetic alignment. The charger is sold separately in the US.
Software and AI
Razr Fold ships with Android 16 and includes moto ai, Google Gemini, and Perplexity as integrated AI tools. Motorola has committed to three years of major OS updates and five years of security patches, shorter than Samsung's seven-year commitment on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Google's seven-year commitment on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which is the main software longevity disadvantage buyers need to consider.
Who Should Buy the Motorola Razr Fold
The Razr Fold is the right choice for buyers who want the thinnest book-style foldable available, the best camera system in the foldable category, and the largest battery of any foldable all at $100 less than the Galaxy Z Fold 7. It is not the right choice for buyers who need seven years of OS update support or wireless charging via Qi2. For camera quality and battery endurance in a foldable form factor, it is currently the strongest option on the US market.
